Il-Ministru Cassar kompla billi qal li llum l-awtorita` saret punt ta’ riferenza u għajnuna għal kull min ikollu bżonn is-servizzi tagħha. L-istess awtorita` ħadmet biex tiżdied l-informazzjoni, l-edukazzjoni u t-taħriġ fis-soċjeta`. Ma’ dawn kien hemm sensiela ta’ proġetti u ġew organizzati wkoll diversi kampanji dwar prattiċi tajba fuq il-post tax-xogħol.
Ċertifikat ieħor li ħadna ħareġ mill-European Agency for Safety and Health at Work li fil-website tagħhom kitbu l-artiklu ‘Malta leads the way in promoting good occupational safety and health’ li ħareġ f’Novembru tal-2012. Sptar gdid b’investiment ta’ hames miljun Ewro
Waqt konferenza tal-aħbarijiet f’Ħal Qormi, dalgħodu l-kumpanija Maltija Caring First ħabbret investiment ta’ ħames miljun ewro fi sptar privat ġdid.
L-isptar, li jismu St. Thomas Hospital, se jkun mgħammar b’apparat modern u fost oħrajn se joffri wkoll servizz ta’ kura immedjata.
Is-Sur Ryan Buhagiar, Direttur fi ħdan Caring First qal li is-Saint Thomas Hospital se jkollu 30 sodda għall-pazjenti, żewġ teatri għall-operazzjonijiet, 13-il outpatient clinic, sezzjoni tal-oftalmoloġija u anke Dipartiment tar-Radjoloġija b’appart diġitali. L-isptar se jkollu wkoll CT Scanner state of the art li se joffri diversi vantaġġi kemm lill-pazjent u anke lill-professjonist.
Is-Sur Buhagiar irringrazzja lill-Malta Enterprise li kienet strumentali biex l-isptar jikkwalifika għall-ko-finanzjament tas-CT Scanner minn fondi ERDF.
Il-Ministru għas-Saħħa, l-Anzjani u Kura fil-Komunità Joe Cassar qal li dan l-investiment minn kumpanija privata hu sinjal ċar ta’ fiduċja fl-ekonomija ta’ pajjiżna. Filwaqt li pajjiżi oħra għaddejjin minn żmien diffiċli, f’pajjiżna qed ikollna dawn it-tip ta’ investimenti anke minn kumpaniji lokali. Dr Cassar qal li dan huwa wkoll frott dirett tal-ħidma mill-qrib li dan il-Gvern kellu mal-privat fil-qasam tas-saħħa.
Minn ftehim differenti li l-Gvern għandu mal-privat qiegħed jibbenefika il-pazjent li mhux biss qed jingħata servizz professjonali imma wkoll qiegħed jingħata s-servizz f’ħin iqsar. Id-diversi eżempji jinkludu l-operazzjonijiet tal-kataretti, dawk dwar l-MRI u anke artroskopiji u PET / CT Scans.
Joe Cassar faħħar l-impenn muri mid-Direttur tal-Caring First li b’dan il-pass issa ser ikomplu jsaħħu s-servizzi tal-saħħa mill-privat fil-komunità. Hu awgura kull suċċess lill-isptar Saint Thomas.
